The
Lincoln Jaycees are a not-for-profit organization that services
Lincoln and the surrounding communities. The Lincoln Jaycees give
young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to
build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business
development, management skills, individual training, community
service, and international connections. The Lincoln Jaycees host
various community activities such as Easter Egg Hunt, Senior Feast,
Breakfast with Santa, & Angel Tree. We have a variety of management
and fundraising projects such as Haunted House and Speedway 50/50.
YMCA
Home School P.E.
The winter session of the YMCA Home School P.E. program
begins Thursday, November 13th. Each week the children will
experience warm ups, relays, and play fun gym games with their
peers. This program is for home schooled children age 5 and up, and
gives the children an excellent opportunity to exercise, have fun,

West Lincoln Broadwell is pleased to announce their honor

Lutheran Speech results
Three Zion
Lutheran School students earned top marks from their judges at the
Illinois Elementary School Association state speech contest held
Friday at Cantrall Intermediate School.
Receiving top
Judge's Choice Awards were: Teran Madigan for her solo acting
piece, "Grounded"; Kendall Katz for her solo acting selection
"Happily Never After," and Jesse & Josh Mangano for their duet,
"Holy Moses."
Additional
performances receiving number one ratings included Joe Ahrends for
Impromptu Speaking; Grace Sheley & Kendall Katz for Improv Duet;
Grace Sheley & Jason Sheley- Duet Acting; Caleb Sager & Josh Mangano-
Improv Duet; Jesse Mangano & Jason Sheley- Improv Duet; and Aaron
Butler & Justin Broom- Improv Duet.
Rachel Marlin &
Kathryn Arneaud received a II rating for their duet acting, as did
Lukas Nash & Andrew Wibben for improv duet acting.
