Relish this: Semitrailer spills hot dogs on road

[April 09, 2009]  OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Here's a story Winnebago County deputies could relish. A semitrailer overturned Monday morning on a highway near Oshkosh, spilling an estimated 20 tons of hot dogs.

The spill caused traffic to be restricted to a single lane for about seven hours.

Deputies said the Kraft Foods truck was driven by Ricky Smith of Cottage Grove. He told the sheriff's department he was pulling off to the shoulder to take care of something in his cab when he hit gravel and the truck tipped.

Authorities said Smith suffered minor injuries.
