Police said 77-year-old Paul Boucher was charged with felony reckless conduct and felony second-degree assault.
WMUR reports police said Boucher refused to wait until the parade passed and drove around the barricade, getting in a confrontation with an officer.
Officer Michael Debisz was able to reach into the car and grab the keys. He suffered a leg injury and was taken to a hospital as a precaution, but he has since returned to duty.
The judge set Boucher's bail at $7,000 personal recognizance. Boucher is due back in court on Sept. 8 for a probable cause hearing.
