Agriculture futures fall on the CBOT

[February 12, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery dropped 12.75 cents to $5.4325 a bushel; March corn shed 8.25 cents to $3.685 a bushel; March oats lost 6 cents to $1.885 a bushel; and March soybeans tumbled 16 cents to $9.78 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle traded down 0.45 cent to 87.60 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle shed 0.30 cent to 95.40 cents a pound. April lean hogs dipped 0.03 cent to 62.27 cents a pound, but March pork bellies gained 0.55 cent to 78.95 cents a pound.
