Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[January 16, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 5.5 cents to $5.6875 a bushel; March corn lost 1.25 cents to $3.6525 a bushel; March oats gained 1 cent to $2.17 a bushel; and March soybeans jumped 23 cents to $9.945 a bushel.

Beef futures were mixed and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 1 cent to 84.35 cents a pound; March feeder cattle fell 0.32 cent to 94.3 cents a pound; February lean hogs slipped 0.1 cent to 59.82 cents a pound; and February pork bellies lost 1.25 cents to 83.8 cents a pound.
