Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[January 23, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slid 5 cents to $5.6675 a bushel, while March corn lost 2.75 cents to $3.875 a bushel. March oats shed 3 cents to $2.13 a bushel, and March soybeans dropped 8.5 cents to $10.12 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle added 0.20 cent to 85.40 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle gained 0.95 cent to 92.30 a pound. February lean hogs climbed 0.33 cent to 59.65 cents a pound, but February pork bellies were unchanged at 82 cents a pound.
