Agriculture futures mostly rise on the CBOT

[January 24, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly gained Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery climbed 16 cents to $5.8275 a bushel, while March corn added 3 cents to $3.905 a bushel. March oats settled up 2 cents to $2.15 a bushel, but March soybeans lost 3 cents to $10.09 a bushel.

Beef futures rose, while pork futures slid on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle added 0.40 cent to 85.80 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle gained 0.45 cent to 92.75 a pound. February lean hogs shed 0.73 cent to 58.92 cents a pound, and February pork bellies dropped 1.25 cents to 80.75 cents a pound.
