Lincoln Park District offers everyone in the community a free opportunity to experience Aerobics, Yoga and Spin classes. Fitness Fever is this Saturday, January 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Come meet and greet all of our instructors and get a sampling of each of their classes. Our goal is to allow you to experience a 10 minute session and let you try as many classes as your schedule will let you. Bring your water bottle and your questions. We're looking forward to meeting you.

Park Meadows Baptist Church is starting a new ministry to reach out to the community of Logan County. It is called the S.O.S club. We will be offering handyman services to the handicapped, elderly, widows, and single women of our community free of charge. We would also extend these services to families who may need these services but cannot afford to hire someone. Our services we will be offering include, but are not limited to: snow removal, de-icing sidewalks, raking leaves, mowing lawns, trimming bushes, small paint projects, small repairs, moving furniture, etc. The men of our church will be donating their time to provide these services to those in need. We will be starting services on February 1st. All someone needs to do is to call us to arrange a time for someone to come. The number to call is (217) 735-1373; ask for John or Tina to set up the best time for us to be of service. If there is no answer, please leave a message.

Got a good piece of news, information or something that we can all brag about? If you do, e-mail Mike and let us tell everyone about it. Plus you can win cash. Every submission, whether we use it or not, will get your name in the "Close Up" grab bag. At the end of the month we will draw a name and someone will get $25.00 just for dropping us an e-mail. If you wish, we will be happy to donate your winnings to the organization of your choice.
