Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[January 29, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery added 10.5 cents to $5.9525 a bushel, while March corn climbed 7 cents to $3.845 a bushel. March oats traded up 2 cents to $2.14 a bushel, and March soybeans gained 6.5 cents to $9.825 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged up 0.02 cent to 84.42 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle added 0.30 cent to 90.57 cents a pound. February lean hogs gained 0.97 cent to 56.72 cents a pound, but February pork bellies dropped 0.75 cent to 78.50 cents a pound.
