[July 16, 2009]  The Spirits of Tours will host their first "Spirits of... Lincoln" with a "Lincoln Ghostwalk" tour on July 24. This tour will be led by Chris and Deborah from the Spirits of... Tours, located in Bloomington. Chris Hotz and Deborah Senger will portray Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln as they tour through downtown Lincoln, relaying the history of the era. The tours are based on factual information as well as established folklore. This walk will start at 8 p.m. at the site of the christening scene, near the Amtrak depot.

Hotz and Senger have established themselves over the past couple of years in Bloomington with "Spirits of... Bloomington" tours and are now expanding into Lincoln.

This is the first of many planned events in Lincoln with the Spirits of Tours. The duo will debut their gangster presentation on July 25 during the 80th anniversary celebration of The Mill on 66. During this presentation, Hotz will portray "Coonhound Johnny," a known associate of Al Capone, and Senger will portray Blossom Huffman, who ran The Mill after World War II and still haunts the building to this day!

Reservations for all tours are required. Tickets are $10 for the July 24 event and information can be found at www.spiritsoftours.com, by calling 309-846-4309 or e-mailing info@spiritsoftours.com.
