The
Linpro dancers are pleased to announce the graduation of
three area couples into the world of square dancing. Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Glick, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. David
Last have recently completed a series of classes in Western-style
square dancing and will graduate Saturday, July 18, at a special
dance to be held at the Lincoln Park District. Past and present
square dancers are invited to attend. Ron Betzelberger, the Linpro
caller/cuer, will start the round dancing at 7 p.m. and the square
dancing at 7:30 p.m. Banana splits and cake will be served.

Holy
smokes! It looks like all you readers really want to win $500.
We already have hundreds of names in the LDN drawing and there is
still plenty of time for all of you to enter. There are no strings
attached and you don't have to pay anything to win. In the event you
have an old-fashioned dial-up that is really slow, you can submit
your information along with the correct answers via a regular e-mail
mikefak@lincolndailynews.com and we will be sure you are
included in the drawing.
Remember, after the drawing the entire list will be deleted. You
won't be put on any list nor have your name and number put in some
file. We appreciate all of you and won't invade your privacy under
any circumstances.
Grab Your Fork has a great drawing too. All you have to do is
submit a recipe and your name goes into the pot for a monthly
drawing. Every week we add new prizes from which to choose, and this
weekend we will be adding more great cookbooks that could be yours
free just by sharing a recipe. You can see the list of prizes as
well as our collection of over 200 recipes in
Grab Your Fork.
We love sharing your good news with the community but we also
enjoy sharing pictures. Today we have another rare
four-generation picture.

will be a petting zoo, sponsored by Weyerhaeuser, at the
Lincoln Public Library on July 23 from 10 till 11 a.m. Children of

sandwich, chips, soda and a cookie. Come and join us for a great
meal at a great price at our Lincoln IGA!
Got a good piece of news, information or
something that we can all brag about? If you do, e-mail Mike and let
us tell everyone about it. Plus you can win cash. Every submission,
whether we use it or not, will get your name in the "Close Up" grab
bag. At the end of the month we will draw a name and someone will
get $25 just for dropping us an e-mail. If you wish, we will be
happy to donate your winnings to the organization of your choice.
