[July 23, 2009]  WOODSTOCK (AP) -- A judge has sentenced a 63-year-old man to three years in prison after his 18th conviction for driving on a revoked license.

Under a plea agreement entered Monday, Lonnie Harris received credit for 62 days he spent in jail after his most recent arrest, which was in Crystal Lake in June of 2007.

That was his first arrest for driving without a license since he was picked up on the same charged in Lake County in March of 2004.

But court records indicate that Harris had been arrested for driving without a license 16 previous times, dating back to the mid 1970s. Most of the arrests occurred in the Chicago suburbs, but at least one was in Pulaski County in far southern Illinois.
