Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[June 03, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery slid 5 cents to $6.695 a bushel, while July corn rose 3.75 cents to $4.495 a bushel and July oats advanced 6.5 cents to $2.605 a bushel. Soybeans for July delivery dropped 9.5 cents to $12.09 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle lost 1.25 cents to 79.27 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 3 cents to 97.17 cents a pound; June lean hogs edged down 3 cents to 59.75 cents a pound; and July pork bellies fell 3 cents to 68.7 cents a pound.
