Lincoln Police Department reports for Thursday, June 11
Accident on June 9 at 9:34 p.m.; Broadway Street at South Hamilton
Street
--Charles L. Parker, male, 63, of Lincoln; 1998 Dodge Dakota
--Timothy E. Brady, male, 30, of Lincoln; 2001 Chevrolet
Silverado Extended 4x4
Parker was traveling south on Hamilton Street at the intersection
with Broadway Street. Brady was traveling west on Broadway, a
through street. Hamilton Street traffic must stop at the
intersection. Brady said Parker did not stop at the intersection and
struck the passenger side of his truck with the front of Parker’s
vehicle. Parker said he did not see Brady until it was too late to
avoid the crash.
Parker claimed no injuries were received. Brady claimed he was
experiencing some minor soreness in his back but refused treatment
by rescue personnel and said he would seek treatment on his own.
Parker was cited for failure to yield after a stop. Both drivers
were cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
