[June 16, 2009]  CHICAGO  (AP) -- A Chicago teen has pleaded guilty in the killing of a boy who was shot while he tried to shield a classmate aboard a city bus.

The Cook County state's attorney's office said 17-year-old Kevin Jones pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to commit murder in the 2007 death of Blair Holt.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Jones and another teen, Michael Pace, were both charged as adults with first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.

Jones allegedly supplied Pace with the semiautomatic weapon used in the shooting.

Police have said the shooting was gang-related, but Holt wasn't in a gang and wasn't the intended target.

Four high school students were wounded. Police said none of them was the intended target.
