The
Middletown Presbyterian Church
will be having a fried chicken dinner on Sunday, June 28, from 11
a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Adults, $8; children 4-12, $4; 3 and under, FREE.
Menu will be two pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green
beans, roll, cake, and drink.

The
Quilters at Heart Quilt Guild in Lincoln will hold their monthly
meeting at 6 p.m. (not the usual 7 o'clock) on Thursday, June 25, at
Trinity Episcopal Church, 402 Pekin St. This week's meeting is the
annual salad supper. Members will be providing salads, breads or
desserts. The guild will also be registering quilts for the quilt
research project. Please feel free to visit and enjoy the fellowship

football registrations are under way at the YMCA!
Children ages 4 years to second grade will learn the fundamentals of
football, make lasting friendships and have a whole lot of FUN! The
volunteer coaches will conduct one practice during the week, with
games on Saturday mornings. Program fees will vary. Please call the
office, 735-3915, to find out about money-saving opportunities for
this program.
On
June 27, the Super Cruise for St. Jude: The Railsplitter
Antique Auto Club and Action Rental and Sales will be holding this
special cruise-in and car show from 1 to 9 p.m. in downtown Lincoln.
There will be live entertainment, bake sale, horseshoe tournament,
remote-controlled drag race, Boy Scout Derby car drag race and car
wash. There will also be a silent auction and live music. For more

On
Thursday, June 25, the Nitro Joe, "Science Guy," program will
be at the Lincoln Public Library. Co-sponsored by Weyerhaeuser, the
program is recommended for children 5 and older. Advance
registration is required. The event will take place at Lincoln
Public Library Annex, 725 Pekin St., between 10 and 11 a.m.
