Ill. police find 3 dead in apparent murder-suicide

[March 03, 2009]  WILMETTE (AP) -- Investigators say they've found the bodies of a man, woman and teenage boy in a home near Chicago in what appears to have been a murder-suicide.

Police found the bodies Monday afternoon while checking on a home in Wilmette, 17 miles north of Chicago.

Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the woman and teenage boy were shot to death and the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities have not released the names of those killed, pending notification of relatives.
