Police: Man driving with 3 tires charged with DUI

[March 11, 2009]  LARGO, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities charged a man with driving under the influence early Monday after police pulled him over for driving a car with only three tires.

Police said an officer spotted a 27-year-old man driving without a rear passenger tire.

The officer reported that the man displayed uneven balance and had bloodshot eyes. A Breathalyzer test he took registered a 0.2 blood alcohol level.

The man was charged with DUI and later released on his own recognizance.
