 Hartsburg-Emden FFA also had eight winners in the Section 14
record book competition. The winners were Douglas Alberts in
grain crop production, Christopher Crane in diversified crop
production, Tim Hilgendorf in oil crop production, Adam Cross in
specialty animal production with bees, Kortney Hoerbert in dairy
production entrepreneurship, Kane Hoerbert in agricultural
mechanics repair, Emma Cross in agricultural sales and Nolan
Lessen in turfgrass. Adam, Emma, Kortney and Kane went on to win
the District III competition and will compete in the state
competition against the other four district winners in their
