Patti Blagojevich says her marriage is strong

[May 26, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Patti Blagojevich says her marriage to ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich hasn't been shaken since he was arrested on federal fraud charges.

In an interview posted Saturday on the Chicago Sun-Times' Web site, she says: "I love my husband. He's a devoted husband, a great father. He's loyal, hardworking."

Rod Blagojevich faces federal charges including allegations that he tried to profit from President Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat. Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty.

The former Illinois first lady plans to take a role on NBC reality TV show "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here." It'll be filmed in the Costa Rican jungle.

She says she couldn't land a regular job now, both because of the economy and the attention she would bring to any employer.
