"This production serves a couple different purposes for us," said
Kim Peterson-Quinn, LCHS vocal music teacher and director of the
madrigal dinner. "It's a departure from a ‘traditional' concert
since the performers aren't restricted to a stage or a customary
arrangement on choir risers. In addition, this is a vital fundraiser
for our program." Performances on Nov. 19 and 20 begin at 6:30
p.m. Tickets for these two shows include dinner and cost $25 for
adults, $22 for senior citizens and children under 12.
The Nov. 22 matinee starts at 3 p.m. and includes dessert only.
Tickets for the Nov. 22 performance cost $15 for all ages.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Madrigal dinners are a form of dinner theater presented during
the Christmas season and are generally set in the Middle Ages. The
meal is divided into courses, and skits of a comedic nature are
performed between the courses. In addition, a mix of medieval and
Renaissance period choral music is included.
The menu for the meal includes chicken breast supreme, angel hair
pasta salad, baked sweet potato with brown sugar glaze, buttered
corn, rolls with butter, coffee, tea and wassail. Pumpkin cake with
cream cheese icing will be served for dessert.
