She was chosen because she is a
compassionate and persistent advocate for Head Start children and
their families, going above and beyond to help. A panel outside the
agency made the selection. "Cathy exemplifies the promise of
Community Action. She cares about her families and provides them
with the highest level of service that helps improve the quality of
their lives. She is knowledgeable of the programs available
throughout our agency and makes sure that they are signed up for any
services they need," said Marcia Hieronymus, education services
manager for Head Start.
"Cathy works to make sure the children, families and her
co-workers of Head Start are well cared for," said Beth Fleshman,
Head Start director. "She is truly a team player. Cathy will do
whatever is asked and does it with a pleasant manner."
McIntosh was presented with a plaque and a $250 gift card by
Steve Lobb, governing board president, and Fleshman, deputy
director.
