2010 Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival pin design contest

[October 14, 2009]  Would you like to see your design in thousands of programs, on hundreds of pins, on T-shirts, in newspapers and on Web sites all over Logan County? Well, the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce is giving you that chance. If you have an artistic or creative interest, here are the rules to follow for submission:

  • Artist must be a Logan County resident or student at a college in Logan County.

  • Artist can be amateur or professional designer.

  • All designs must be submitted in a vector art (.eps) file so it can scaled without losing resolution/quality.

  • Design must also be submitted in a 300 dpi JPEG or PDF for cross-platform viewing.

  • The year needs to be in the design or easily added to the design.

  • Artists must submit original work -- no clip art.

Library

  • Winning design will be at least a two- to four-color design.

  • Winning design will have appeal to a broad demographic.

  • Winning design will be able to be reproduced well on both large and small scale.

Photographers

All submissions are due by Jan. 11 on a disk or USB drive to the attention of Andi Hake, Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce, 1555 Fifth St., Lincoln, IL 62656.

Winners will be announced and designs unveiled at the chamber's 2010 annual dinner on Jan. 23.

Prizes:

  • First-place prize package -- $100 Chamber Bucks gift certificate; design displayed on chamber Web site, announced in weekly e-flash, newspapers, 2010 festival program and much more; plus ticket to chamber annual dinner

  • Second place -- Certificate and ticket to chamber annual dinner

  • Third place -- Certificate and ticket to chamber annual dinner
