Workshops will be presented by Barney Wells on rural ministries,
Roger Songer on college ministries, Kevin Wolf on senior ministries
and Patty Dudley on women's ministries. Brad Neal of Lincoln will
lead a special main session on "Preparing for Retirement in this
Financial Climate." The retreat worship leader is Dr. Dinelle
Frankland of Lincoln Christian University.
Mitchell grew up in the east-central Illinois town of Robinson.
Coming from an agricultural family, Mitchell made plans to enter
horticultural-agricultural work. However, while attending St. Louis
Christian College, God seemed to have other plans. Mitchell began
planning and dreaming about starting a church. Following several
ministries in Indiana and Kentucky, he and his family moved to the
Westbrook Christian Church in Bolingbrook.
Sutton is currently associate professor of Christian ministries
at Lincoln Christian University and minister at Eminence Christian
Church in Atlanta. Before coming to LCU, he taught classes in
Christian ministries and theology at Winston-Salem Bible College,
where he also served as academic dean for seven years. A graduate of
Lincoln Christian University's School of Undergraduate Studies and
Seminary, Sutton completed his Doctor of Ministry at Emmanuel School
of Religion. He has held preaching and youth ministries in Illinois,
Indiana and North Carolina. [to top of second column] |
