Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[October 30, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures advanced Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 9 cents to $5.0375 a bushel, while December corn jumped 10.5 cents to $3.795 a bushel and oats for December delivery gained 9.5 cents to $2.5725 a bushel. November soybeans climbed 17 cents to $9.855 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded lower and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle edged down 0.65 cent to 86.27 cents a pound; November feeder cattle fell 0.9 cent to 94.6 cents a pound; December lean hogs rose 1.25 cents to 57.2 cents a pound; and February pork bellies added 1.8 cents to 90.8 cents a pound.
