[September 05, 2009]  LEBANON, Ohio (AP) -- An Indianapolis firefighter had a real up-and-down day on Friday by skydiving 100 times in southwest Ohio.

Joe Frolick made the jumps Friday at the Warren County Airport near Lebanon. He said he wanted to raise awareness and money to fight fire deaths from smoke inhalation.

The 34-year-old firefighter from Wayne Township, Ind., began at 7:30 a.m. and finished just after 8:30.

Moments after his final jump, Frolick told The Associated Press that he was "ecstatic" and feeling great.

Frolick said he practiced for his jump-a-thon all summer. He was making his skydives from an altitude of 2,500 to 3,000 feet, lower than many free-fall jumps.
