             -- Jim Croegaert, a Lincoln
University alumnus and a celebrate composer of Christian music will
lead worship at The First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday,
			September 16 at 6:00 p.m |

            | A native of Peoria, Croegaert toured with Phillips Records’ band,
Wylde Heard before forming the band known as Hope. Hope was one of
the first “Christian Contemporary” or “Jesus Rock” bands in America.
In 1986, the celebrated Sandi Patty recorded Croegaert’s, “Was It a
Morning Like This?” as the title song on her Grammy Award winning
album. Croegaert’s most recent recording is “The Light That Falls to
			Earth.”
After graduating from LCC (now LCU) in 1976, Croegaert ministered to
Mennonite and Church of the Brethren communities in Evanston,
Illinois. Eventually drawn back to the Roman Catholicism of his
youth, Croegaert next trained to become a hospital chaplain. Today
he works as a chaplain at a major Catholic hospital in Chicago.
