What is the difference between “outside” and “recirculation” settings on your car’s AC?

The “outside” setting means the fresh air outside is being fed into the vehicle’s cabin with the air that the H(heating)V(ventilation)A(air)C(conditioning) system is blowing into the cabin.
“Recirculation” is a setting that is used when the air being fed into the vehicle’s cabin, thru the HVAC is reticulated without adding fresh outside air.

COOL- IT!

This article is about one of the parts of a car that isn’t what it seems or even what it is named- the Cooling System. So you ask, what does the cooling system do? It removes Heat. Cooling and air conditioning are conditions with a reduction of heat. Automobile cooling systems are complex systems that are getting tougher and tougher to diagnose, service and repair. The goal of the coolant is to provide protection against boiling and freezing, as well as cooling the vehicle’s motor.
Having your cooling system serviced based on the OEM’s recommendation is most important. The service should include at least a visual inspection, and analysis of the coolant, a pressure and performance test and the replacement of the vehicle’s coolant if needed.
