			The morning began with the presentation of 
			colors by three local Cub Scouts from Troops 105 and 101, who also led 
			the audience in the Pledge to the United States flag. The invocation 
			was delivered by Pastor Ron Otto of the Lincoln Christian Church, 
			and then everyone was invited to enjoy a breakfast buffet. | 
			
			 
			Brian T. Miller, director of the local 
			Crossroads District of Boy Scouts of America, emceed the morning of 
			events and spoke on the topic of "Scouting in Action." |

			Bernie Koch, CEO of River City Construction of 
			Peoria, spoke about the purpose of the breakfast.  | 
			
			 
			Ron Schilling introduced the first guest 
			speaker of the morning, Dr. John Hutchinson, president of Lincoln 
			College. |  |

			 Dr. John Hutchinson, president of Lincoln 
			College, began his speech by telling about the life of a man who as a 
			child was severely abused and forced into slavery in Haiti, how he 
			was rescued from that torture, and what he did with his life as an 
			adult.

			Mayor Keith Snyder delivered a lighthearted account of his 
			experiences as a Scout who survived a tornado, saying it was a 
			"Scouting adventure."                 | 
			
			 
			 "A Century of Values 1910 – 2010" is a 
			beautiful, colorful depiction of the history of Boy Scouts in 
			America in the last 100 years. In the print are images of 
			badges, guidebooks, Scouting events and a myriad of past Scouts, 
			all of whom have gone on to achieve great things. At a quick glance one 
			can see Jimmy Stewart, Bob Hope, Bill Gates, Ronald Reagan and John 
			Kennedy, just to name a few. |
