Agriculture futures mixed, livestock prices rise

[April 20, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded mixed early Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery added 8.75 cents to $4.78 a bushel; May corn lost 1.25 cents to $3.47 a bushel; May soybeans jumped 12.5 cents to $9.59 a bushel; and May oats were unchanged at $2.175 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle added 0.58 cent to 94.90 cents a pound; May feeder cattle gained 0.65 cent to $1.1470 a pound; June lean hogs lost 0.07 cent to 84.65 cents a pound; and May pork bellies traded up 0.95 cent to 97.25 cents a pound.
