The Lincoln FFA hosted a petting zoo on Friday at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Area kindergarten to second-grade students were given the chance to get up close and personal with farm animals at the annual "get-acquainted with agriculture day" for Lincoln students.
Students were able to touch baby chicks, a chicken, baby pigs, goats, lambs, bunnies, horses, a calf and tractors. Over 50 FFA students and friends led the tours, talked about the animals and cooked lunch for the crew.
The Lincoln Fire Department was also on hand to give the students instructions in case of a fire at their house and to help students become familiar with the firemen's dress in strange equipment that might scare them.
