Accident reports for Wednesday, April 14

Hit-and-run on Pulaski

Incident occurred in the 500 block of Pulaski on April 12 at 2 p.m.

  • Dutz, Gladys L, 60-year-old female, Lincoln; 2007 Kia Sedona

Lutz told police that her car was parked, unattended on Pulaski Street. When she returned to her vehicle she could see that it had been struck of the passenger side. Police inspected the damage and noted dark blue paint transfer on the Lutz vehicle. The offending vehicle could not be located.

Rear-end collision on Heitmann Drive

Accident occurred at the intersection of Heitmann and Woodlawn on April 11 at 5:07 p.m.

  • Gomez, Colon E., 49-year-old male, Fox Lake; 1997 Dodge Dakota

  • Naylor, Andrew M., 27-year-old male, Brighton; 2008 Chrysler Town & Country van

Naylor said he was stopped at the traffic signal on Heitmann Drive, waiting to make a right turn onto Woodlawn, when he was struck from behind by Gomez.

Gomez said he saw Naylor but thought he was in the process of negotiating the turn, didn't realize he was actually stopped, and stuck the rear of the Naylor vehicle.

Logan County Sheriff's Department report for Wednesday, April 14

  • Lercher, James E., 20-year-old male, Lincoln; arrested April 13 (no arrest location listed) on a Logan County warrant charging a Class 2 felony of burglary. Bond was set at $10,000, 10 percent.
