The front will move slowly off the Mid-Atlantic coast while moving into the Southeast, providing areas of rain and thunderstorms in the area.
The most concentrated area of precipitation will be in Texas as areas of slow-moving rain will fall in the central portion of the state. Some of this rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms in the state.
Farther to the north, a storm will rotate through New England, providing areas of rain and snow in the area. This precipitation will gradually diminish in the afternoon, but many areas of rain and snow will continue into Sunday. Breezy conditions will also be experienced in the Upper Midwest and New England due to this storm.
In the West, a weak Pacific storm will renew rain and high elevation snow in the Northwest. This will represent the only notable area of precipitation in the West.
The Northeast will rise into the 30s and 40s, while the Southeast will see temperatures in the 70s and 80s. The Northern Plains will rise into the 60s and 70s, while the Southwest will see temperatures in the 80s and 90s.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Friday ranged from a low of 19 degrees at Gillette, Wyo., to a high of 93 degrees at Chesapeake, Va.
