[April 23, 2010]  Today Lincoln College will unveil a bronze sculpture of Abraham Lincoln, commissioned as part of the grand opening of the Lincoln Center.

The statue will be officially undraped in a ceremony beginning at 4 p.m. outside the main atrium entrance of the new facility.

The life-size, 6-foot-4-inch sculpture depicting a young, beardless Abraham Lincoln was created by Bloomington artist Andrew Jumonville and will promote the "Lincoln in Illinois" theme of the Lincoln Heritage Museum, scheduled to open in its new location within the Lincoln Center in 2011. The artist will be in attendance at the unveiling.
