A new course record was set by LCU student Daniel Thompson. He ran
the two-mile distance in a time of 10:40, breaking the old record of
10:42 set in 2009. Thompson won $100 for breaking the record, plus
$25 for being the top overall male finisher. A special
registration competition among LCU campus groups raised $266 for
earthquake relief for Haitian Christian Outreach. The money will
provide 735 "Feed the Starving Children Meals," along with bottles
of multivitamins.
