[April 28, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel says he can't wait to move back to Chicago some day but he cautioned reporters not to misinterpret that.

Emanuel was in Chicago on Tuesday for the first time since saying in a recent interview that he wants to be mayor of the city after Mayor Richard Daley decides he doesn't want the job anymore.

Emanuel says returning to Chicago has been his goal since he went to work for President Barack Obama in Washington. He also says it is great to be home for a visit.

But when reporters asked him if he liked the sound of "Mayor Emanuel," he told them they needed to "start drinking decaf."

Emanuel was in Chicago to serve as a panelist at the Richard J. Daley Global Cities Forum.
