In central Illinois, cattle are primarily considered a source of income. Participants in the 2010 Logan County Fair beef show, though, treated their livestock like kings and queens. While Thursday morning at the fairgrounds saw cows that were calm, cool and collected, as well as anxious in front of the crowd, the judge said he based his decisions on a variety of criteria, including how the cattle were raised.
