Grains futures, livestock prices mostly slide

[August 12, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures dropped Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for December delivery tumbled 12.75 cents to $7.14 a bushel; December corn lost 1 cent to $4.08 a bushel; December oats dipped 0.5 cent to $2.835 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery fell 7 cents to $10.15 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle shed 0.57 cent to 94.75 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dropped 0.60 cent to $1.1220 a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.47 cent to 73.60 cents a pound; but August pork bellies jumped 4.5 cents to 136.50 cents a pound.
