Grains futures drop, livestock prices rise

[August 19, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mostly lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery dropped 3.75 cents to $6.80 a bushel; December corn dropped 4 cents to $4.26 a bushel; December oats were flat at $2.885 a bushel; while soybeans for November delivery slid 14 cents to $10.28 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle added 0.60 cent to 96.55 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 0.63 cent to $1.1425 a pound; October lean hogs rose 1.58 cents to 77.10 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0350 a pound.
