Grains futures, livestock prices mostly rise

[August 20, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mostly higher Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery soared 29.75 cents to $7.185 a bushel; December corn ticked up 0.25 cent to $4.335 a bushel; December oats jumped 4 cents to $2.9375 a bushel; while soybeans for November delivery slid 7.25 cents to $10.235 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle jumped 2.23 cents to 99.70 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 1.67 cents to $116.62 a pound; October lean hogs added 0.23 cent to 78.30 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.05 a pound.
