Grains prices, livestock futures mostly drop

[August 25, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery dropped 17.75 cents to $7.0775 a bushel, while December corn tumbled 12.25 cents to $4.205 a bushel and December oats shed 10.5 cents to $2.745 a bushel. November soybeans slid 6.5 cents to $9.99 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle shed 0.30 cent to 99.45 cents a pound; October feeder cattle lost 0.45 cent to $1.1720 a pound; October lean hogs dropped 0.95 cent to 77.27 cents a pound; but February pork bellies rose 1.50 cents to $1.0650 a pound.
