Meowy Christmas and the amazing Acro-Cats are
returning. Join the fun Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. in the
ballroom to witness the antics of these well-trained performing
cats. The Rock Cats will return for another live performance too.
Some of the proceeds of this entertaining event will go to the
Humane Society of Logan County. Tickets will be available at the
door the evening of the performance or they can obtained online at
www.circuscats.com. A
full-access membership will be offered to college students
home for the holidays. You must be a full-time student with a valid
college ID. This membership comes with unlimited usage and includes
all aerobics and spin classes. Passes go on sale Monday, Dec. 6, and
are valid through Jan. 17. Cost will be $50 for in-district

Don't forget the Holiday Home Contest. If you have
decorated the outside of your home for Christmas, the park district
encourages you to enter the contest. You may register at the park
district's front office or online at
www.lincolnparkdistrict.com. Go to
the "Contact Us" page, fill out the contact information, and be sure
to provide your address and a brief description. Your decorations
will be judged on originality, complexity and overall theme. The
judging will be done after 5 p.m. on Dec. 17. Prizes will be
sponsored by the park district. First place will receive a one-year
full-access family membership. Second place will be given a
six-month family circuit membership. The third-place winner will get
a three-month family circuit membership. The park district plans to
publish the winners on their website and in local news publications.
This will allow others in the community a heads-up on where the best
displays are.
