Flu seasons are unpredictable and can begin early in the fall and
last late into the spring. An annual flu vaccine is the best way to
prevent the flu and flu-related complications that could lead to
hospitalization or death. "National Influenza Vaccination Week
provides an opportunity for our community to tell people how
important it is for people to get an annual flu shot," said Shana
Bean, emergency response coordinator. "Getting vaccinated is the
single best way for people to protect not only themselves against
flu, but their loved ones as well."
Getting a flu vaccine is easy. It is available through the Logan
County Department of Public Health, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.,
or on the HOPE Mobile during its regularly scheduled stops.
When you are out and about in the community and see signs
offering flu shots, remember: The flu ends with "U."
