[December 08, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- The trial is slated to continue for a 15-year-old boy accused of participating in the fatal beating of a Chicago honor student whose death was captured on a cell phone video that was viewed around the world.

The trial began Tuesday for the teen, who isn't being identified because he's charged as a juvenile.

The boy is the first of five defendants slated for trial in 16-year-old Derrion Albert's death. His trial is expected to conclude Wednesday or Thursday.

Prosecutors on Tuesday showed the video of the attack on Albert and told jurors that the teen punched Albert in the face. Prosecutors say that was among the injuries that ultimately led to Albert's death.

The teen's attorney admits the boy hit Albert but says that didn't cause him to die.
