It's a boy for former 'Ugly Betty' star Newton

[December 10, 2010]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- It's a boy for actress Becki Newton.

A spokeswoman for the former "Ugly Betty" star says Newton and her husband welcomed their first child, a baby boy, last month in Los Angeles.

Publicist Ruth Bernstein says it's the first child for the couple, who wed in 2005.

Us magazine first reported the birth Thursday.

Newton, 32, can next be seen in the NBC series "Love Bites," which premieres in January.
