Late-night foes Ferguson and Fallon swap gifts

[December 18, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Late-night rivals Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson are filled with the Christmas spirit. They even sent each other gifts.

At the end of the monologue on NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" on Thursday night, the New York-based host showed viewers a photo of the present he'd sent Ferguson: a sweater accented with both his face and Ferguson's against a Christmas ornament.

What had Ferguson, host of CBS' Los-Angeles based "Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson," given in return? Fallon found a large gift box under his desk that contained two kittens.

The gift swap was the latest comic stunt bonding these rivals in the 12:35 p.m. (Eastern) hour.

In the past, they engaged in a food fight with spaghetti and waved at each other with giant novelty Mickey Mouse hands.
