Donate
online to Red Kettle campaign
Many Logan County residents are busier than ever this year and
couldn't ring the bell for The Salvation Army this year. Some are
still planning on donating but haven't yet been to a physical kettle
or just don't seem to have cash or change in their pockets when
passing a kettle. Some want to write a check but weren't carrying
their checkbooks as they passed a kettle location. Some prefer to
use a credit or debit card for every purchase during the holiday
season in order to have a record of every transaction.
There's some good news for everyone. Anyone with Internet access
can still be a part of the 2010 Red Kettle campaign and do it all
online.
To access the secure website for online donations to The Salvation
Army, just click on the secure links (in second column at right).
Each donor may choose whether an online donation is posted to Web
page of the Online Red Kettle team or simply made anonymously.
Either way, donors receive an instant tax deduction receipt by
e-mail for their 2010 tax records.
Donors may choose to donate to the online kettle hosted by
Rebecca Van Nydeggen, local director for The Salvation Army of Logan
County, just by clicking on the button "Donate to My Kettle." They
may also join the 2010 Online Red Kettle team and help ring a
"virtual bell." To join the Online Red Kettle team, click on the
button "Join This Kettle Team." (Use links in second column to find
the buttons.)

A few easy steps will set up an individual or corporate kettle as
part of the Logan County Online Red Kettle team. All that is needed
is to send the Online Red Kettle link to co-workers, family and
friends. The money raised will help Salvation Army programs
throughout 2011 and will support year-round assistance for Logan
County residents.

To ensure the money donated stays in Logan County, click on
"Rebecca Van Nydeggen's local Salvation Army" when making an online
donation. That way, donated funds will be used exclusively in Logan
County in 2011.

Got
a good piece of news, information or something that we can all brag
about? If you do, e-mail Mike and let us tell everyone about it.
Plus you can win cash. Every submission, whether we use it or not,
will get your name in the Close Up grab bag. At the end of the month
we will draw a name and someone will get $25 just for dropping us an
e-mail. If you wish, we will be happy to donate your winnings to the
organization of your choice.
