The first break-in and burglary of Casagranda's restaurant happened sometime overnight Friday and was reported at 10 a.m. Saturday. Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff John Walsh said the suspect or suspects forced a door open and took the contents of the tip jar, between $100 and $200.
The door was fixed, but the culprits pried it open the next night and again cleaned out the tip jar.
Sometime on Monday night, someone made a third attempt to rob the restaurant. That time, a cash register was destroyed in an attempt to get it open, however, it was empty.
