Red Lions play Emmaus

[February 15, 2010]  DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Winning their sixth straight and tenth of their last 11 games, the Red Lions men's basketball team handed the Emmaus Bible College Eagles an 82-71 defeat Saturday.

John Wallace and Kevin Watson both delivered double-doubles for LCU, with Wallace scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Watson recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Lawson finished with 17 points, including three 3s, and Mac Ingmire added nine points and nine assists.

The Red Lions will play again Wednesday at Eureka College.

In the women's game, the Emmaus Eagles handed the Red Lions a 52-38 defeat.

LCU's Sheena Cooper scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, Jonnie McCaslin had 10 points and 10 rebounds, Kim Harden added six points, and Catherine Tuley 2 points.

The Red Lions women will host Central Christian College of the Bible tonight (Monday) at 5:30.
