[February 13, 2010]  Though the snow has been falling and the wind has been blowing, locals have been bringing their donations to Lincoln Christian University's Taylor Hall for the "Love Offering to Haiti." Baby food, crutches, medical supplies, work gloves and linens were some of the first items dropped off on Monday, when the collection began.

InsuranceRoro Eustache from Haitian Christian Outreach sent thanks by e-mail this week. Eustache, an LCU alumnus, wrote: "We have been seeing at least 130 people at our clinic everyday for the last 3 weeks. We also distribute food to hundreds of people every week."

LCU will continue to collect donations at Taylor Hall through Feb. 20.Taylor Hall is located in the student apartment complex east of LCU's main campus, off Route 10. The collection site is being staffed weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and today (Saturday) from 9 a.m. until noon.

Visit www.haitianchristian.org for the most up-to-date list of high-priority items.

Individuals and organizations who would like to drop off their donations at LCU are encouraged to sort, pack (in cardboard or plastic boxes) and label items before dropping them off at Taylor Hall. LCU students will pack items that are delivered to the LCU collection site for shipping to Haiti at the end of February.
